HELICOBACTER PYLORI STATUS IN CHILDREN WITH GASTROINTESTINAL DISEASES

Resume. In recent years, the attention of researchers in the field of dentistry and gastroenterology has been drawn to the problem of the participation of the oral cavity in the development of a number of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. The purpose of the study was to determine Helicobacter pylori status in children with gastrointestinal diseases. The work determined the dental and pediatric status of children with gastroduodenal diseases. A microbiological study was carried out to determine Helicobacteraceae in the oral cavity. 7 Helicobacteraceae isolates of three species were isolated: Helicobacter fennelliae (1) in 2.4% of cases, Helicobacter pullorum (1) in 2.4% of cases (opportunistic forms), Helicobacter pylori (5) in 12.2% of cases (pathogenic form). In children with gastroenterological pathology, the oral Hp contamination in the oral cavity was 17.1% and there was scanty to abundant growth of the Hp colony (from 102 to 104 CFU/g). Determining the contamination of the oral cavity with Helicobacter pylori infection may be the method of choice for screening.
